PetSmart Charities

PetSmart Charities is the largest funder of animal welfare in North America. Working directly with PetSmart and over 1400 animal welfare organizations, PetSmart Charities works towards bettering the lives of pets and people. Adoption events, spay & neuter initiatives, Veterinary programs and animal welfare thought leadership are just some of the great things that PetSmart Charities has been heavily influencing with over $450 million spent since 1994.

  • Brand steward and sole designer for both the US and Canada branches that project managed, approved creative and worked directly with events, marketing, copywriters, communications, directors, PetSmart CE teams, executives and outside agencies.
  • Designed emails, social media, digital banners, website mockups & banners, signage, pamphlets, posters, hand-outs, stationary, T-shirts, brand guides, icons, internal & external campaigns and more.
  • Digital asset management for final proofs, creative digital files, photographs and digital library.

BRAND

The position being vacant for three years prior, I started from scratch. Scouring the companies servers for photography, I created a new photo library, a simple brand guide to follow and hit the ground running. I developed and created the roles processes, guidelines and timelines and became the companies brand ambassador. After some time, I was able to develop the brand further by adding more color options to the brand palette.

Marketing

Being the sole designer for the US & Canada branches included managing the time for projects, deadlines, creativity, meetings, approvals and answering any and all creative brand needs from all departments and outside agencies. Working for a charity of this size and stature included many fast turn arounds, emergencies, emails, events, advertisements, signs, pamphlets, T-shirts, swag and more. 

Annual Reports

The companies annual report was also used as an educational and marketing tool each year. I would develop, design, produce or art direct these depending on the leadership or year.
